New-construction cleanup: pressure washing after a build

New homes are covered in mud, cement residue, and paint overspray. Here's what a good post-construction wash covers.

Builders and homeowners doing custom builds around Coffee County need a specific type of first wash. It's different from a standard residential wash.

What's covered

  • Concrete residue on driveway and walkways
  • Mud splatter on lower siding
  • Paint overspray on windows and trim
  • Adhesive from window and door stickers
  • Sawdust and debris in gutters
  • Mortar drips on brick

What's NOT covered

  • Interior anything (that's a different specialty)
  • Roof (never on a shingle roof; specialist trade)
  • Anything above safe ladder reach without a partner

Why this is a specific job

Post-construction grime is different from weathering. Concrete residue needs an acid-safe treatment. Paint overspray needs solvent. Mud is usually just a rinse. The right cleaner for each is different.

Timing

Do it *after* all trades are done. If painters come back, you'll be washing paint splatter again. Confirm with the GC that everyone's off-site.

Cost

New-construction cleanup on a typical 2,500-sqft custom home: $400–$700. Higher than a standard wash because of the specialty solutions and time.
