Brick and stone mailboxes get overlooked because they're small — but they're the first thing anyone sees when pulling up to your house.
The typical grime
- Splash from mowing
- Green algae on the shaded side
- Dust and pollen
- Sometimes wasp nests inside vent holes
The quick fix
- Cleaning solution applied, 5-minute dwell
- Low-pressure rinse from top down
- Rinse gently around the mailbox door (avoid spraying inside)
- Cobweb removal around edges
Why not a DIY brush job?
You can, but you'll be there for a while and mildew will be back in weeks. Chemistry-based cleaning kills the algae root; brushing just removes what's on top.
When I include it
